Publication Date Paper Abstract and Findings
30-April-07 This was a post market surveillance study of 50 patients with one or more chest drains after major chest surgery In Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

The primary objective of this study was to study the device’s behaviour and to see whether the device makes the securement, manipulation and removal of medical lines (chest drains) simple. The secondary objectives of this study were to assess how long the chest tubes with this device stay in place and to see if there is any impact in reducing any/all of the complications of chest drains in situ.

The study found that the BRAIDLOCK® was used successfully in 96% of the subjects.
